CNC ROUTING AND WHAT WE CREATE AT R CONCEPTS

So here we are.  A routing and design company based at Shepperton Studios.

Over nearly 2 years we have designed and created all manner of things:

15ft Gates routed out of Resin Composite board, aluminium camera mounts, MDF Spiral floor tiles, Structural set ribs, electromagnetic quick release camera mounts, Green screen boxes, whole scale sets!

Every project we are part of becomes a part of us.  CNC routing (or C and C routing as it’s also known) has come a long way in a very short space of time, but so many people still don’t know what it actually is.  I will construct another post purely covering what CNC routing is and how it works, but for now I’ll give you the “quick start” explanation.

CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control.

CNC routing in its basic form, means controlling a router via a computer in a manual or automated way, to cut a desired material..

I know what your thinking…  So what can be cut on a CNC router?   The most common material CNC cut is probably wood.

Again, I will cover materials in another post.
